There 21 minerals founding Dead Sea including sodium, magnesium, calcium, bromine, bitumen, and potassium to name a few. Twelve of these minerals are found only in the Dead Sea. These minerals include: Sodium – an essential for body functioning; Magn esium – for cell metabolism and healing; Potassium regulates the moisture in the skin; Bromide for a very relaxing effect; Bitumen acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, Chlorine to maintain the correct balance of alkaline and acid in the body, and is vital for cell metabolism; Iodine for production of the hormone thyroxin, important for energy and cell metabolism; Calcium strengthens cell membranes and cleanses the pores.
