Battling the Cold: Some Tips on Moisturizing During the Cold Months

The –Ber months usher in cold winds and while we enjoy the more fashion-friendly climate in our layered frocks, fuzzy sweaters and stylish coats, dry hair and skin and chapped lips are realities we all dread.

Our skin is the largest organ of our body and we must take very good care of it. The cold weather dries up the water in our skin. When it lacks moisture, our skin becomes dry, rough and scaly.

To keep the skin properly hydrated and nourished we must all:

1. Eat a healthy and balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables;
2. Drinks lots of water;
3. Apply a good moisturizer that replenishes the nutrients lost by the skin; and
4. Take in fresh air

Well-moisturized and properly hydrated skin feels supple and smooth and looks radiant. Moisturize daily and with smooth skin, enjoy all the hugging and the cuddling the cold season brings!
